Basalt is a hard, black volcanic rock formed by rapidly cooling moulten lava, which is known for it's multidimensional strength properties. DBX construction interates three basalt layers which improves the deck's structural integrity and stiffness while providing the maple vaneers a "backbone" that maximises the wood's natural resonance.
Unlike typical composite decks that are focussed on strength, DBX decks are designed for strength with added emphasis on response, feel, pop, and a overall consistant and lasting performance.
