To maximise its effectiveness, it is recommended applying the zinc as you would a normal lotion, and then finishing with a second visible layer. Apply liberally onto clean, dry skin and rub in evenly 20 minutes prior to sun exposure. Reapply at frequent intervals and after surfing, swimming or towel drying. The layer of Surfmud does not need to be thick, just applied evenly. The Surf Mud Natural Zinc is the physical barrier, so if you can see it, you are covered.
Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear wherever possible. Use sunscreen responsibly. For external use only. Keep out of your eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
