Each Reissue Series is a faithful tribute to a specific, standout original Santosha design. Measured, referenced, and rebuilt with absolute respect for its era. Boards are reissued as;
- Santosha Single Fins: 1977 to early ’80s
- Santosha Twin Fins: 1977 to mid ’80s
- Thrusters: Early ’80s to early ’90s
Established in the 1970s, charging through the 1980s, and hibernating in the early ’90s, Santosha was right in the thick of it across all three categories.
These Reissues are not modern hybrids. They are carefully replicated to the same specs as when the board was originally manufactured.
Sprays are period correct tributes to the Santosha artisans of the era.
Reissue #1 is an exact, no-compromise replica of a mid-1980s Mick Button shaped Santosha, pulled directly from the archives. Every curve, foil and rail line has been carefully measured and faithfully recreated, staying true to the original board in both form and intent.
Built by the master craftsmen at Yahoo Surfboards, this board reflects an era when boards were shaped by feel, not by models or data. The outline stays true to mid-80s performance, the classic glass-on thruster set-up delivers positive control, and the flat deck carries the volume needed for speed and drive.
